Tekenen en schilderen is al sinds mijn kindertijd mijn grootste passie. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik diverse cursussen en workshops gevolgd, onder andere op de Gooise Academie in Laren, en later les genomen bij professionele kunstschilders om de technieken van olie en acryl eigen te maken. Mijn schilderijen zijn vooral figuratief en met een losse penseelstreek geschilderd.
In mijn werk staat vooral mens en dier centraal. De uitdaging die ik mijzelf stel is om het object telkens weer een prominente plek te geven op het doek in al zijn mooiheid of lelijkheid, emotie en uitstraling.
